HANDMADE LEATHER SANDALS: Two day class – Taught by KIRI SKUCE
Next classes : January 21st & 28th 2018, 10am-6pm **Registration now open**
Late April 2018 – exact dates TBA
In this class, learn to hand-make your own leather sandals, from scratch, custom-fit to your feet. We will learn all the steps, starting with making a custom pattern for everyone’s unique feet, cutting out the leather, assembling, sanding and finishing the sandals.
We will be making the style pictured in the photos. This style of sandals is a traditional roman style, with straps that pass under the sole and can be pulled to adjust to your feet. The straps fasten on the side with a buckle. You can choose from several different leathers to make your sandals: light browns, dark browns, and black.
There is no previous experience required. Participants must be at least 14 years of age, as we will be using some sharp tools that require careful use.
Cost: 200$, materials included. A deposit of 50$ is required at registration, to save your place.
When: Sundays January 21st and 28th, from 10am-6pm
Where: The Common Thread, 5563 Fullum #213, Montreal QC
